With the viral increase and spread of the Coronavirus governments around the world have begun putting strict measures into place in an attempt to contain and eliminate the new virus that has cost thousands of lives. As no exception, Singapore has done just that. Seeing quite a few cases within their own territory, a large-scale education campaign has been put into effect to try and moralise the people of Singapore about the catastrophe this virus is and what can be done in order to decrease the potential effects of it. A large part of this campaign is being conducted through the use of infographics. The Ministry of Health in Singapore has developed and published, to date, 14 infographics concerning COVID-19, with similar objectives but different messages. Some aim to raise awareness on what the virus is in itself, others to educate people on how to keep themselves safe during this time and others just to pass on institutional information on the restrictions being imposed on civilians as a way to contain the virus and abolish spread. Seeing this is a campaign by the Singaporean government is is safe to say that the target audience are the people of Singapore. This can also be said as the languages in which the infographics are available reflect the official languages of the country; English, Mandarin Chinese, Tamil and Malay. The infographics are well designed and are appealing to a wide range of ages in order to reach as many people as possible, not targeting only a specific age group but rather the country as a whole as this pandemic affects everyone, from the youngest to the oldest.
